What is the difference between supply and GVOs?

Answer:
EP NL supplies the ‘grey’ electricity, while Shell provides the Guarantees of Origin (GVOs). GVOs provide insight into the origin of the electricity, e.g. from European solar and wind farms.

Example:
Imagine you have a glass of water. The water is grey because it comes from the tap. Adding a few drops of green dye changes the water to green, but it remains the same water. This is similar to grey electricity and GVOs: the electricity remains the same, but adding GVOs makes it ‘green’, so to speak, because it comes from renewable energy sources.
