Our assets and businesses
EP NL has four power plants offering efficient and adaptable solutions to the growing demand for renewable energy. Rijnmond power plant, with two gas-fired power plants and a steam turbine, exploits synergies for efficient operation. Enecogen, a gas-fired power plant in Rotterdam, has a capacity of 910 MW and is 50% owned by EP NL. The Sloe power plant in Borssele has a capacity of 870 MW, equivalent to the consumption of two million households.
Since February 2025, we conduct our trading and delivery under two trade names: EP NL Energy for business energy contracts and supply, and EP Commodities for energy trading and optimisation. Both fall under EP Commodities B.V., part of parent company EP NL. From Middelburg, we combine international clout with local involvement.

EP NL as part of EPH
EP NL is part of EPH, a leading European energy company operating in nine countries. EPH combines reliable energy supply with sustainable ambitions.
The group has over 15,000 employees and pursues an ESG-driven strategy. Coal capacity is only retained for short-term security of supply, while gas plants and renewable gases (such as hydrogen) are deployed for a future-proof energy system.
EP Power Europe, part of EPH, groups European energy assets into one entity. Since 2016, the group has been growing steadily and is among the top 10 largest European energy companies
