What are Guarantees of Origin?

Guarantees of Origin (GOs) allow a supplier to prove the origin of the electricity supplied. This system makes it possible to distinguish between green and grey electricity. The certification system shows whether the electricity supplied was generated in a sustainable way. VertiCer is the body responsible for granting guarantees for green electricity. The Guarantees of Origin they issue electronically are the only proof that energy has been generated sustainably. EP NL has an account with VertiCer.
