Modelcontract
Do you have a small consumer connection? Then you can request a model contract from us. As a customer, you can take out a model contract with any energy supplier in the Netherlands. This is an energy contract for an indefinite period with variable tariffs, with a clear set-up and clear conditions. The model contract has been approved and established by the Authority Consumer & Market (ACM).

What is a model contract?
A model energy contract is a standard form of contract to be offered by all energy suppliers in the Netherlands licensed for small consumers. This contract, established by the Authority Consumer & Market (ACM), offers consumers and small business users a variable tariff for electricity and gas. The rates of the model contract change twice a year, and the contract has an indefinite duration. This means that you can cancel it at any time free of charge, with 30 days notice.
The model contract is designed to allow users to easily compare the tariffs and conditions of different energy suppliers. This allows you to make an informed choice, without committing to long-term contracts. While the model contract is not always the cheapest offer, it does provide clarity and transparency.
This contract is intended for small users, including consumers and businesses with a connection of up to 3×80 amps for electricity and 40 m³(n) per hour for gas. The use of a model contract ensures that all essential information, such as charges, advance amounts and supply conditions, is clearly and uniformly recorded.

The model contract
With the model contract, you benefit from flexibility, with no fixed term. As it is an open-ended contract, you can terminate it at any time free of charge, with 30 days notice.
We reserve the right to adjust rates twice a year, on 1 January and 1 July. In case of special market conditions, we may also change the rates in the interim.
The model contract comes with general terms and conditions that you can read in advance. We also offer a sample model contract so that you know exactly what to expect.

Normal and low-rate hours
At EP NL energie, you benefit from an advantageous off-peak tariff for electricity on weekdays between 23:00 and 07:00 and at weekends from Friday 23:00 to Monday 07:00. These times may vary, depending on your grid operator. The off-peak tariff also applies on certain public holidays.
Besides the supply costs, you also pay for the use of the regional electricity and gas network. The fixed monthly costs can be found below.
Rates
Our tariffs are based on a standard electricity connection and average gas consumption. Actual costs may vary based on your energy consumption and any feed-in. If you have a meter with a double counter, the double rate is applied automatically. You can adjust this later, if you wish. The proposed monthly charge does not include one-off discounts.
Changes
With a variable contract, the tariffs for supply, feed-in, grid management costs and government levies may change. We will inform you in good time. With a fixed contract, the tariffs remain the same throughout the contract period. The single tariff remains constant regardless of the time of consumption, while the double tariff has different rates for peak and off-peak hours.
