What is Hydrogen?

Hydrogen is a renewable, clean fuel that emits only water vapour when burned or in fuel cells. These properties make hydrogen ideal for sectors where electrification is difficult. The production of hydrogen is typically done via electrolysis, in which water (H₂O) is split into oxygen (O₂) and hydrogen gas (H₂) with electrical energy. This technology allows hydrogen to be produced efficiently and sustainably, reinforcing its role as a replacement for fossil fuels.

Hydrogen optimalisation

We are committed to the future of hydrogen within the Dutch energy market. Although we do not currently run any production, we are actively engaged in research and development to strategically implement hydrogen. Our team investigates the technical and location-dependent possibilities of hydrogen applications and focuses on innovative solutions to challenges such as capacity management. With our expertise and transparent reporting, we provide valuable insights and a reliable partner in hydrogen technology.
